This Mishimoto performance intercooler upgrades the air-to-water charge cooling system on S55-powered F8X BMWs, improving thermal efficiency and supporting higher boost levels without modifying factory mounting. Designed with full cast aluminum end tanks and a larger bar-and-plate core, the unit increases core volume while maintaining direct-fit installation to the F80/F82/F87 platforms. Internal air diverters and a single-pass coolant fin layout optimize airflow and heat transfer, delivering lower intake temperatures, measurable flow gains, and real-world increases in wheel horsepower and torque. Finished in Frozen Dark Blue II Metallic with OEM-matched, automotive-grade paint for durable engine-bay styling.
