Description
The Allison transmission in L5P 6.6L Duramax trucks generates significant heat under towing and heavy-load conditions, and this thermal bypass valve kit replaces the factory in-line thermostat with a CNC-machined aluminum unit that improves fluid routing and heat dissipation. Designed for 2017+ Chevrolet and GMC 6.6L Duramax applications, the upgrade features machined internal passages for increased flow to the transmission cooler, integrated cooling fins for extra heat rejection, and a serviceable thermostat plus optional bypass for constant cooling during extreme use or hot climates.
